Armed with documented evidence of the vacancy crisis, Sacramento voters pass the Vacancy Fee through a 2028 ballot measure.
Starting at $0.50/sq ft/month and rising each year of continued vacancy, the fee gives property owners a clear financial incentive to lease at accessible rates.
